1. Abhivyanjan (Paper Presentations)

Introduction

 “Ask yourself, If I had only sixty seconds on the stage, what would I absolutely have to say to get my message across”  ~Jeff Dewar

Well, why sixty second!! Play the game of 600 seconds, identify your audience and provide the appropriate scope and depth of content. Your work should define the length and width of your logics and analytics, but most importantly your personality through which this work evolves!!

Rules

·         The event will be held in two stages.

·         The first round is online while the second round will be held at NIT Warangal.

·         Participants should form teams of maximum 3 members.

·         No member should be a part of more than one team.

·         Each team can submit only one paper presentation.

·         Plagiarism more than 15% will not be entertained.

·         Mail your queries to events@cura12.com

Round 1:

  • Soft copy of abstract is to be submitted in PDF format only. No other form of submission will be entertained.
  • Mail your abstract to abhivyanjan@cura12.com
  • The total size of the abstract shouldn’t exceed 200 words.
  • The font should be 12 pixels, Times New Roman and matter should be justified with a margin of 1.5 cm from all edges.
  • The text page should include the topic name, team member names, institute name, contact number, and email address.
  • The last date of submission of abstract for the 1st round of this event is January 20th 2012.

Round 2:

  • Softcopy of final paper and power point presentation are to be submitted by January 31, 2012 through mail.
  • The participants need to bring two hard copies of final paper.
  • The shortlisted teams would have to present the final paper during CURA’12 before our esteemed panel.
  • Each team will get 8 minutes for presentation followed by 2 minutes for queries.

2. Ranniti (Business Plan) (sub menu)

Rules

·         The event will be held in two stages.

·         No member should be a part of more than one team.

·         Each team can submit only one B-plan.

·         Plagiarism more than 15% will not be entertained.

Round 1:

  • Soft copy of Executive summary is to be submitted in PDF format only. No other form of submission will be entertained.
  • Mail your executive summary to ranniti@cura12.com
  • The total size of the executive summary shouldn’t exceed 2000 words.
  • The font should be 12 pixels, Times New Roman and matter should be justified with a margin of 1.5 cm from all edges.
  • Executive summary should not contain any pictures except tables and charts.
  • The text page should include the title, team member names, institute name, contact number, and email address.
  • The last date of submission of executive summary for the 1st round of this event is January 20th 2012.

Round 2:

  • Softcopy of final b-plan and power point presentation are to be submitted by January 31, 2012 through mail.
  • The participants need to bring two hard copies of final b-plan.
  • The shortlisted teams would have to present the final plan during CURA before our esteemed panel.
  • Each team will get 10 minutes for presentation followed by 3 minutes for queries.

Security of information and the data submitted by the participants will be maintained by the organizing committee of CURA’12

3. Avijith – the young Chanakya

  • Introduction

    ~ Sun tzu”AVIJITH” presents the leader and the strategist among all of you, who will survive the test of time. A series of rounds and challenges posed at all the participants, will unearth that one person, who will be conferred with the title of “The Young Chanakya”

4. Drishya (Short Film Making): (sub menu)

Have a passion or zeal for film directing, acting, cinematography or editing?!

CURA’12 provides you the right platform for interpreting all those skills.

Short film making is an endeavor to encourage budding film makers, to showcase their talent and compete with some of the best in their cadre. Creativity is not inspired by the pressure of time but by the freedom, playfulness and fun so get recognized or walk away with treasure of memories, this is the abode where you leave with an experience you would’nt forget.

Don’t wait for anything, Just start rolling your cameras…!!!

5. BHUMIKA: IN YOUR SHOES(sub menu)

Introduction

Rules

General Rules:

  • Team Size: 1
  • The event will be held in 3 rounds.
  • Mail your queries to events@cura12.com

Round 1:

  • Round 1 will be a written test which will test your knowledge in core areas of management- marketing, finance, strategy, operations, HR, etc.
  • The questions will be subjective in nature.
  • The scores in round 1 will be the sole evaluation criteria for short listing.
  • 10 participants will be shortlisted for the next round.

Round 2:

  • The participants will be put in a boardroom environment and their skills to come on top with limited resources will be tested.
  • 5 participants will be shortlisted for the final round.

Round 3:

  • The participants will be given a chance for the role playing and idea generation by placing them in a hot seat of great personalities. They have to keep themselves in their shoes and think. It will test the participant’s ability to apply classroom concepts to real time situations.

6. Tejas (live case study)

“The essence of strategy is choosing what not to do.”

A perfect event for stratagems where learning comes out of your own experience. Be a one day decision makers through your active participation in Tejas, where your decisions would solve the current problems happening in the world of business.

7.Pralobha

You can’t do today’s job with yesterday’s methods and be in business tomorrow

Tests the participant’s knowledge on multiple facets of marketing

PRALOBHA going to ascertain the teams on their ability to think on their feet, apply their knowledge in a factual situation and most substantially, think out-of-the-box. Participants with ingestion of innovation, creativity, imagination, thought and implementation are anticipated.

Rules & Regulations:

i.            Event will be conducted in 3 rounds.

ii.            Each team should have 3 participants.

iii.            Registration for this event should be done online.

iv.            Mail your queries to events@cura12.com

Prelims:

i.            The participants can select any topic from the areas mentioned below and should prepare a research report on the topic.

ii.            Participants have to send the report as a PDF document in not more than 8-10 pages on or before 24th of January.

iii.            The report should include:

  1. Abstract
  2. Introduction
  3. Objective
  4. Literature review
  5. Research methodology
  6. Tools used for analysis
  7. Managerial implication
  8. Conclusion
  9. References.

iv.            The font should be 12 pixels, Times New Roman and matter should be justified with a margin of 1.5 cm from all edges.

v.            The text page should include the topic name, team member names, institute name, contact number, and email address.

vi.            The teams will be shortlisted from the reports sent to proceed for further rounds.

vii.            Plagiarism above 10% cannot be entertained.

Rules and Regulations

There are two rounds in this event

ROUND 1 : Elimination round.

ROUND 2 : Virtual stock game.

Rules for participating in this event :

1) Any number of teams can participate from each college.

2) Team size : 2

3) Team members should be from same college.

4) No calculators, electronic gadgets are allowed.

5) Registrations are opened on the day of event only.
